Situations may araise

SCENARIO 1: If the safety rope breaks during work

  • In this case, there is still a second safety rope to prevent the worker from falling
  • Cease work immediately
  • Utilize the second safety rope to descend to the ground
  • Replace the broken rope with a new one and repeat the initial procedure

SCENARIO 2: If unfavorable weather conditions such as rain or strong winds occur during work

  • Stop the work
  • Lower the safety rope to the ground
  • Secure the rope
  • Resume work only when weather conditions improve

SCENARIO 3: If tools or equipment fall during work

  • All tools and equipment must be securely tethered to the safety belt to prevent them from falling to the ground
  • The area below the work zone must be marked with warning signs to prevent entry

Safety Harnessing Procedure

Step 1:

  • Prepare a complete set of safety harness equipment for one person.
  • Erect safety warning lines around the elevated work area.

Step 2:

  • Observe the surroundings carefully and report any abnormalities immediately to the supervising authority for prompt action.

Step 3:

  • Secure the harness rope to a fixed anchor ensuring a load capacity of 500kg or more.
  • Use a second safety rope anchored similarly to serve as a backup.
  • Attach the sitting harness to the first safety rope.
  • Then wear the safety belt and sit on the harness.

Step 4:

  • Perform a final safety check and commence work upon confirming safety.

Step 5:

  • At the end of the day’s work, after touching the ground, secure the ropes firmly.
